LAHORE, Nov 04 (APP):The city experienced a partly cloudy and windy day on Tuesday, bringing the average Air Quality Index (AQI) down to 212.
Some of the most polluted areas included DHA Phase 8 (532), Paragon Society (429),
Hiking & Mountaineering Club GCU (352), Barki (310), Askari 10 (286), and Ravi Road (281), among others.
According to the Smog Monitoring and Early Warning System, the improvement in AQI was linked to falling temperatures and changing wind conditions.
Officials said winds were blowing from the south to northwest at a speed of 11 km/h, helping disperse pollutants and gradually improve Lahore’s air quality. Rain is also expected within the next 24 hours, the Met office forecast.
