RAWALPINDI, Jan 01 (APP): A soft rain in Rawalpindi since early morning, starting around 3:30 a.m and partial snowfalls in Murree has invited the winter loving tourists. The gentle drizzle has made the air fresh and cool. Many people enjoyed the weather change coupled with the new year night.
In Murree, the atmosphere has become even more beautiful. Light snow has fallen on the higher parts of the hills. While not heavy, the white patches on trees, roadsides, and rooftops have turned Murree into a pretty winter scene. The mix of rain and snow has made the whole area look fresh and inviting.
Tourists are rushing to Murree to enjoy the first real snow of the season. Families and groups of friends are heading to Murree quickly with hotels filling up fast.
Local shopkeepers and hotel owners are happy with the sudden crowd. “This light snow came at the perfect time for New Year visitors,” one hotel manager said.
Police and traffic officials are asking everyone to drive carefully. Roads can become slippery, especially on the way up to Murree. They suggest checking road updates before traveling. The tourists praised the district administration’s measures.
DC Murree, Agha Zaheer Shirazi reaffirmed that protecting tourists and providing them facilities is the top priority. Effective security arrangements were in place, with all administrative departments on high alert amid possible snowfall. Facilitation centers remain active to assist and guide visitors.
The deputy commissioner confirmed that all roads were clear and the traffic management plan was being strictly implemented.
