LAHORE, Jun 05 (APP):Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has announced that the queue management system will be introduced in all government hospitals across the province to enhance patient convenience and reduce waiting times.
He made the announcement during the inauguration ceremony of the queue management system at the Gynecology Outpatient Department (OPD) of Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, on Thursday. During his visit, the minister met with patients and inspected the newly implemented system.
Terming the launch a “very welcome initiative,” Khawaja Salman Rafique appreciated the efforts of Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College Professor Tayyaba Waseem and Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Mohsin Ali Shah. “After the implementation of the queue management system, gynecology patients will no longer have to stand in long queues. Special seating arrangements have also been made for their comfort,” he noted.
He reiterated that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the government is taking all necessary steps to provide better facilities to patients in public hospitals.
On the occasion, Professor Tayyaba Waseem said that patient convenience remains the top priority, and the new system is a step in that direction. The move was widely appreciated by the patients present in the OPD.
