MUZAFFARGARH, Nov 07 (APP): The thrilling qualifying round of the 10th Thal Jeep Rally came to an action-packed close, with top drivers from across the country showcasing exceptional skill, speed, and control on the challenging 3-kilometre track.
In the Prepared Category, Faisal Shadi Khel stole the spotlight, recording the fastest time of one minute and 30 seconds to claim the lead. Hot on his heels was Muhammad Raza Saeed, finishing just two seconds behind at one minute and 32 seconds. Veteran racer Sahibzada Sultan secured third position with a time of one minute and 33 seconds, followed closely by Nadir Magsi, who clocked in at one minute and 34 seconds, making the top four results the closest in recent rally history.
The competition in the Women’s Prepared Category was equally fierce. Salma Khan dominated the track with an impressive one minute and 57 seconds, narrowly edging out Dina Patel, who completed the course in one minute and 58 seconds, marking a strong finish for both competitors.
In the Stock Category, emerging racer Hassan Ali Magsi led the field, completing the track in one minute and 43 seconds. Syed Asif Imam followed closely at one minute and 44 seconds, while Muhammad Rayan Khan took third with a time of one minute and 45 seconds.
The high-octane qualifying round has set the stage for an exhilarating main event, as drivers prepare to take on the expansive Thal desert, a true test of endurance, precision and passion for motorsport.
