LAHORE, Jul 07 (APP):Punjab Police on Monday inaugurated the 10th batch of its highly regarded Student Internship Programme at the Central Police Office, welcoming 62 bright students from Punjab University and the University of Lahore’s BS Criminology programmes.
According to the police spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Training Punjab, Rao Munir Zia, briefed the students about the internship programme’s features, explaining that the enrolled students would be attached to various field formations for a six-week duration.
The spokesperson said the students would receive briefings on field policing, crime prevention and public service delivery projects. They would also undergo comprehensive orientation covering different stages of policing within departments such as the Special Branch, Safe City Authority and Investigation Wing.
DIG Training Rao Munir Zia emphasised that Punjab Police are promoting direct engagement with students in education and research fields, noting that the student internship programme provides valuable guidance for their career development.
