LAHORE, Oct 27 (APP):The Punjab University College of Art and Design (PUCAD), Department of Graphic Design, organized the Graphic Design Thesis Display BFA-2025, showcasing the creative accomplishments of its graduating students.
Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, Principal College of Art and Design Dr Samina Nasim, Chairman Department of Graphic Design Prof Dr Ahmad Bilal, artists, faculty members, and a large number of students attended the event.
While interacting with the exhibiting students, Prof Dr Muhammad Ali commended their innovative ideas and professional presentation standards, noting that their projects reflected the evolving landscape of contemporary design education. He emphasized the university’s commitment to integrating creative research and applied design practices within academic frameworks.
Dr Samina Nasim appreciated the collaborative efforts of the faculty in mentoring the graduating students throughout their academic journey.
Prof Dr Ahmad Bilal admired the students’ dedication, saying that the display presented a diverse range of visual communication projects addressing social, cultural, and commercial themes through branding, illustration, interactive media, and publication design.
He added that the exhibition demonstrated the students’ strong grasp of design thinking and its potential to shape meaningful narratives within Pakistan’s visual culture.
The event also serves as a bridge between academia and industry, providing opportunities for students to engage with design professionals, educators, and the broader creative community.
The display will remain open to visitors till October 31.
Meanwhile, Punjab University will organize the launch ceremony of the book “Tareekh Urdu Daira Ma’arif-e-Islamiya” on Tuesday (today) at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre.
Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali and other noted scholars will attend the ceremony.
