KARACHI, May 06 (APP):Polling for the by-election on the vacant general seat of the Senate from the province of Sindh officially begun at the Sindh Assembly here on Tuesday.
Member of Sindh Assembly Saeed Ghani cast the first vote while Member of Sindh Assembly Najam Mirza also exercised his right to vote, said a spokesperson for the Election Commissioner Sindh.
Members of the Provincial Sindh Assembly Ali Khurshidi and Ali Hassan Zardari also used their right of franchise.
The polling process will continue in the Sindh Assembly from 9 am to 4 pm without break.
The Provincial Assembly of Sindh has been declared as polling station for the by-election.

Syed Waqar Mehdi is contesting from the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, while Ms. Nighat Mirza is the candidate from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan.
It should be noted that the general Senate seat from Sindh province fell vacant after the death of Senator Taj Haider.
