CHINIOT, Nov 12 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority’s team conducted 117 inspections across the district to check the quality of essential food items during last week.
A total fine of Rs. 51,000 was imposed on various violations, the official sources said on Wednesday.
During the inspections, 6 kg of expired products were recovered from grocery stores and safely disposed of, while a milk collection center was heavily fined after its milk samples failed quality tests.
Several food outlets were also issued improvement notices for poor hygiene and storage conditions.
