FAISALABAD, Sep 14 (APP):The business communities must play a proactive role to strengthen their direct contacts with each other to enhance bilateral trade between Pakistan and Mauritius, Mr. Rashidally Soobadar, High Commissioner of Mauritius in Pakistan.
In a meeting with President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Dr. Khurram Tariq, he said that Mauritius has witnessed unprecedented GDP growth which was expected to jump to $20,000 by 2030.
He said that Mauritius is a small beautiful and scenic island which was visited by more than 1.2million tourists every year.
He said that Mauritius was focusing on the development of a blue economy which has made it an investment friendly destination. He said that Mauritius has close liaison with Pakistani educational institutes while a Pakistan firm was also establishing a nursing school to cater to its medical needs.
Dr. Khurram Tariq assured full cooperation for the uplift of Mauritius and said that Faisalabad is the hub of industrial, economic and export activities and its exporters could fulfill the entire clothing needs of this country.
He also stressed the need for exchange of trade delegations to further deepen their business links with each other.
