LAHORE, Aug 09 (APP):Pakistan’s first Virtual Centre for Child Safety, established in Safe City, has become a hub for child protection. The Virtual Child Safety Centre is helpful in cases of missing and found children from Lahore and across Punjab. According to details, over 1,700 complaints have been received at the Virtual Child Centre in 2 weeks. The Child Safety Centre has facilitated the registration of more than 415 FIRs related to children. Additionally, the Centre has resolved over 1,200 cases. Immediate police assistance is being provided for complaints regarding missing and found children, unaccompanied minors, runaways, victims of abuse, and other issues.
The Virtual Child Safety Centre receives complaints through 15 calls, the Punjab Police Pakistan App, the Child Protection Bureau, and chat services. Data is also being collected from police reports, the “Mera Pyara” app, and 15 calls regarding missing or found children from across Punjab.
According to the spokesperson for Safe Cities, the Safe City Virtual Centre for Child Safety is playing the role of a bridge in reuniting lost or found children with their families. The Virtual Centre for Child Safety tirelessly works day and night to reunite children with their loved ones.
