Over 1,300 road accidents reported in June: Rescue 1122

RAWALPINDI, Jul 02 (APP):Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has reported 1321 road traffic accidents during the month of June.
These accidents affected 1,506 people, according to official data released by the Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122).
Tragedly, 16 people lost their lives, while 735 sustained serious injuries. Another 755 suffered minor injuries.
The data shows that most of the victims were men (1,273), but 233 women were also involved.
The majority of those affected were between the ages of 11 and 40, highlighting that younger people are especially at risk on the roads.
Rescue 1122 teams responded promptly to all emergencies, maintaining their average response time and providing urgent care to the victims.
The leading causes behind these accidents were speeding, careless driving, taking wrong turns, tire bursts, and other traffic violations.
Most of the reported accidents involved vehicles and motorcycles.
Rescue 1122 has once again urged the public to follow traffic rules, drive responsibly, and use safety measures such as helmets and seat belts.
A spokesperson Rescue 1122 said, “Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Even a small mistake can lead to serious consequences. Stay alert and follow traffic rules to keep yourself and others safe.”
