MULTAN, Jun 01 (APP):The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has issued disciplinary orders against two employees after completing departmental inquiries under the Pakistan WAPDA Employees Efficiency and Discipline (E&D) Rules, 1978.
According to a MEPCO spokesperson, Superintendent Engineer (Operations), DG Khan Circle, Malik Khurshid Ahmad, has ordered the compulsory retirement of Aziz Akhtar, Line Superintendent Grade-I / Additional SDO, Kot Mithan Sub-Division, Rajanpur, on charges of administrative misconduct.The officer failed to submit replies to explanation and show-cause notices and also did not attend the personal hearing. Based on the evidence, he was found guilty and retired compulsorily from service. He has the right to appeal the decision within two months, as per company rules. In a separate case, Additional Chief Engineer Construction, MEPCO, Farhan Shabbir Malik, has penalized Samiullah, Line Superintendent Grade-II, Construction Sub-Division, Layyah, by stopping his next three annual increments. The official was found guilty of negligence and inefficiency during departmental proceedings. He was under suspension prior to the decision.
