MULTAN, Oct 30 (APP):A middle-aged man was shot dead, while two others sustained bullet injuries in a firing incident here on Thursday.
According to police, the shooting was the result of an old enmity between two rival groups.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Asif alias Asif, son of Muhammad Qasim, resident of Qasimbela. The injured were identified as Muhammad Irfan and Muhammad Hamza.
The assailants opened fire in the Zainpur area within the jurisdiction of Basti Malook police station. Despite efforts by locals to apprehend them, the unidentified attackers managed to flee the scene. The victims were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
Eyewitnesses told police that around five suspects, riding on two motorcycles, carried out the attack.
Upon receiving information, police reached the scene and launched a search operation in the area. A case has been registered, and raids were underway to arrest the suspects.
