LAHORE, Jan 30 (APP):The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has intensified its daily cleaning operations, focusing on clearing temporary collection points throughout the city.
According to LWMC sources here on Friday the LWMC’s operational teams were diligently emptying 7,000 waste containers on time, ensuring a clean environment for residents.
The cleaning operation teams of LWMC conducted a special cleaning activity to uphold cleanliness on ‘Juma’ and targeted cleaning operations around Mosques across Lahore.
While LWMC social mobilizers made announcements about cleanliness in various Mosques across the city.
The imams of the Mosques also highlighted the importance of cleanliness in ‘Juma’ sermons and urged citizens to ensure cleanliness.
The community mobilization teams of LWMC delivered awareness messages about cleanliness to worshipers in all Mosques in 9 towns of the city.
He said that in order to create awareness among the citizens regarding cleanliness, the anti-littering squad also carried out special activities around the ‘Masjid-e-Shuhada’ at Mall Road by picking up litter from the roads.
LWMC teams had issued instructions to clear all temporary collection points in the city on a daily basis.
Any kind of negligence in the cleaning of the city would not be tolerated.
The public was also requested to support the LWMC teams by disposing of their waste in the dustbins.
