LWMC carrying out cleanliness operation in city

LAHORE, Feb 13 (APP): The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has initiated a comprehensive cleanliness operation in all nine towns of the city ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to LWMC sources here on Friday as part of this special drive, LWMC teams have been deployed to ensure thorough washing of major congregational Mosques and enhanced sanitation measures in graveyards across Lahore.
The cleanliness operation includes manual sweeping, complete waste clearance and water sprinkling on access roads leading to graveyards to facilitate citizens visiting their loved ones during Ramadan.
Sanitation arrangements have been completed at Shahdara graveyard (Ravi Town), Mughal Peer graveyard and Singhpura graveyard.
Meanwhile, sanitation staff carried out extensive waste clearance and manual sweeping at Nafeer Abad graveyard,
Dars Chotay Mian graveyard, and Dars Baray Mian graveyard in Gulberg Town.
In Wahga Town, Gadhi Shah graveyard and Madni graveyard (Kot Khawaja Saeed) also remained under strict cleaning and water sprinkling operations.
In addition to graveyards, special cleanliness measures were being undertaken around Mosques and on the main routes leading to these sites to ensure a clean environment for worshippers.
To provide the best possible sanitation facilities, LWMC’s operational teams remain active in the field round the clock, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery throughout the holy month.
