RAWALPINDI, Jan 28 (APP):The City Police have busted an illegal liquor den operating from a house, arresting an accused and recovering some 160 litres of the contraband, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Wednesday.
The City Police Station team raided the liquor den after receiving information that a man was preparing and selling liquor from his drawing room, according to the first information report. During the raid, the police also recovered empty bottles and packing material, besides the liquor.
Meanwhile, the Chaklala Police nabbed two suspects and recovered 20 litres of liquor and weapons with ammunition. The Dhamial Police arrested one suspect and recovered 20 litres of liquor, while the Ratta Amral Police recovered 10 litres of liquor from another suspect.
Similarly, the Naseerabad Police took one suspect into custody with 10 litres of liquor, while the City Police Station recovered five litres of liquor from another suspect.
