LAHORE, Nov 12 (APP):Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has directed police authorities to immediately enhance security measures in all courts across Punjab, emphasizing that the protection of judges, court staff, lawyers, and litigants remains the judiciary’s top priority.
Expressing deep sorrow over the recent terrorist attack outside the Islamabad District Courts, the chief justice stressed the need for fortifying the security and sanctity of
judicial institutions, says a press release issued here on Wednesday.
She directed the authorities concerned to identify and address any security gaps at the Lahore High Court and district courts, ensuring that all available resources were mobilized for foolproof protection.
Following her directives, security has been further tightened at the Lahore High Court and all judicial complexes across the province. Modern walk-through gates, metal detectors, and comprehensive body searches have been reinforced at all entry and exit points.
Additionally, round-the-clock CCTV surveillance has been enhanced both inside and outside court premises to detect suspicious activity and ensure rapid response.
Special monitoring arrangements and upgraded security protocols have also been implemented in parking areas to ensure maximum safety and convenience for lawyers and litigants.
