LAHORE, Oct 30 (APP):On the directions of Director General LDA Tahir Farooq, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) carried out a large-scale operation against illegal constructions and encroachments on MM Alam Road, Gulberg. The operation aimed to clear the setback areas and remove unauthorized structures and signboards from both residential and commercial properties.
Teams from Town Planning Zone III conducted the operation, demolishing partition walls, temporary structures, and encroachments extending beyond the approved limits. Several illegally constructed and commercially misused properties were sealed during the action.
In a parallel operation against illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees, LDA teams sealed 19 properties in Gulberg and Faisal Town, along with over two dozen properties on Raiwind Road. The sealed premises included tire shops, auto workshops, electric stores, meat shops, food points, shops, and offices.
The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner-I and Chief Town Planner-II, with support from the Enforcement Wing and police personnel.
