PESHAWAR, Nov 24 (APP):Advisor to Chief Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Tarand, has said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is serious about establishing sports relations with China.
In the first phase, exchanges between local teams can provide athletes with international playing experience.
He was speaking to the media during his visit to the Chinese Cultural Center, China Window.
Taj Muhammad Tarand visited various galleries of China Window, signed the Friendship Wall, and recorded his remarks in the visitors’ book. He said that Pakistan-China relations are cited as an example across the world, and the way China has progressed is something we also need to learn from.
Taj Muhammad Tarand said that CPEC is a project for the economic development of Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The CPEC highway has not only reduced distances between various cities but also saved time. He expressed hope that the 80-kilometer section of the Hazara Motorway from Mansehra to Thakot has already been completed, while the government has also approved the Thakot to Raikot section, which will be a new route.
After its construction, it will become an important link connected to the Hazara Motorway, providing access towards the northern areas (such as Gilgit-Baltistan).
Taj Muhammad Tarand said that Pakistan needs to achieve its goals through the transformation of technology from China. He also appreciated the initiative of Chinese universities offering scholarships to Pakistani students.
The Advisor to the Chief Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs said that the establishment of the Pak-China Friendship Center, China Window, in Peshawar is commendable.
It will provide the people of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa an opportunity to learn more about their long-standing friend.
He expressed confidence that relations between Pakistan and China will further expand in the future.
