PESHAWAR, Nov 13 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Department of Education has taken a initiative by preparing a special action plan for the province’s 4.92 million out-of-school children.
As a first step, the department has compiled comprehensive data of children who are not currently enrolled in schools.
According to the official document on Thursday, Alternative Learning Pathway Centers will be established to provide educational and training opportunities for these children.
In addition, Girls’ Community Centers will be set up across various districts to encourage enrollment and focus on girls’ education.
The document further states that prefabricated schools will be built in colder regions of the province, while existing schools will be upgraded.
It is also expected that the introduction of online classes may help reduce the number of out-of-school children.
To further support this effort, the government plans to introduce education cards, establish IT labs and outsource school management in certain areas.
The new plan aims at addressing these issues and bringing millions of children back into the education system through innovative and inclusive measures.
