PESHAWAR, Dec 13 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the E-Transfer Policy 2025 for teachers in Education Department.
During the meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi here Saturday, the cabinet intended a move to enforce supremacy of merit and transparency and allow educators to better focus on their core purpose.
This new policy ends a prior ban on postings and transfers, under which over 400 recommendations were received but rejected.
The system for e-transfers will now utilize important indicators like the teacher’s appointment period at the current school, the student-teacher ratio, and annual results, while also giving specific weight to hardship cases such as disability, widowhood, separation, and appointments involving both husband and wife.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, the chief minister directed all other provincial departments to quickly adopt similar merit-based transfer policies.
He also stressed that health and education were our top priorities and that weak departments in these sectors were “tantamount to playing with the future and health.”
