RAWALPINDI, Feb 02 (APP):Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamer Khattak has assumed the additional charge of Director General(DG) of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA)here on Monday.
Additional Director General RDA Muhammad Anwar Baran and Director Administration Iftikhar Ali, along with other officers, welcomed him to his office. The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) had earlier issued a notification assigning him the additional charge.
Senior officers briefed Khattak on ongoing and upcoming development projects, including the Rawalpindi Ring Road, Nala Leh project and other major initiatives.
Addressing officials, Khattak directed that RDA’s overall performance be improved and stressed that the authority must play an effective and constructive role in the city’s development. He urged officers to work with honesty, integrity and transparency, and to ensure punctuality and adherence to official working hours.
He also instructed officers to strictly follow the Chief Minister’s fire safety directives, ensure the effective implementation of standards in relevant buildings and projects, and conduct regular inspections to ensure public safety and compliance.
For public facilitation, he directed that flex banners be displayed at RDA offices outlining application procedures and documentation requirements to help citizens submit complete applications and avoid inconvenience.
