ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued a notice on a petition against the appointment of plastic surgeon Dr. Abdul Khaliq as a supervisor at the Burn Center at PIMS Hospital and sought a response from the parties.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro heard the petition of the doctors of the Burn Care Center.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that Dr. Abdul Khaliq is a plastic surgeon, he does not have the education to work in the Burn Care Center due to which he cannot be given any responsibility in any capacity in the Burn Care Center. He said that a person who is completely unrelated to the Burn Care Center has been appointed.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that this is not only a violation of the rights of the petitioners but also a threat to public health.
He requested the court to declare the appointment of the plastic surgeon as a supervisor at the Burn Center illegal and appoint a qualified and expert as the head of the Burn Care Center at PIMS.
The court adjourned the hearing seeking a response from the respondents.
