IGP Rizvi visits Red Zone, Diplomatic Enclave, reviews security arrangements
ISLAMABAD, Mar 23 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited the Red Zone and Diplomatic Enclave to review security arrangements and assessed overall preparedness in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Monday that during the visit, the IGP Rizvi also inspected the Safe City Control Room and Police Facilitation Centre (Cascade). IGP Rizvi reviewed the overall security situation of the city in detail at the Control Room.
Rizvi met police officers deployed on duty, appreciated their performance and encouraged them to continue performing their duties efficiently.
IGP Rizvi Islamabad said the Police Facilitation Centres would remain open during Eid holidays to ensure uninterrupted services for citizens.
He said that continuous efforts were being made to provide better services and ensure the protection of citizens. The
IGP Rizvi urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
He reiterated that protection of key national and international installations remained the top priority of Islamabad Police.
