LAHORE, May 21 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar on Wednesday chaired a high level meeting at Central Police Office (CPO) to review available resources and performance of Counter Crime Department (CCD) units in Lahore and Faisalabad.
Senior officials from the Counter Crime Department (CCD) including Additional IG CCD Sohail Zafar Chattha, DIGs CCD Waqas Hassan and Umar Farooq Salamat, Additional IG Operations Punjab Shehzada Sultan, Additional IG Investigation, DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir, AIG Operations Abdul Rahim Shirazi, and AIG Admin Asad Ijaz Malhi and senior CCD Lahore officers attended the session.
While RPO and CPO Faisalabad, along with relevant DPOs, RO Faisalabad and other CCD officers, participated via video link.
Commending the efforts of the CCD Lahore, Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated their success in curbing serious crimes. He instructed the RPO and CPO Faisalabad to ensure proper office facilities for CCD operations in the region.
“There is excellent coordination between Lahore Police and the CCD in combating serious crimes,” said Dr. Usman, adding that CCD has been provided with top-tier human resources, transportation, offices and logistical support by Lahore Police.
The IG directed CCD to intensify efforts in arresting high-profile wanted criminals and motorcycle theft gangs. He also stressed the need for enhanced action in recovering missing children and women.
DIG Admin Lahore Imran Kishwar, DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran, DIG Investigation Lahore Zeeshan Haider and SSP Investigation Lahore Muhammad Naveed were also present.
