PESHAWAR, Nov 12 (APP):In response to a new wave of terrorism, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed has ordered heightened security at all sensitive locations across the province.
The IG has directed Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) to conduct a comprehensive review of the security situation and strengthen measures accordingly.
He also instructed an audit of security arrangements at judicial complexes and the High Court, while ordering tighter protection for educational institutions and police training centers.
According to the police chief on Wednesday, new checkpoints are being established at all entry and exit points to enhance vigilance and prevent possible attacks.
The directive comes a day after a suicide bombing outside an Islamabad courthouse, which claimed 12 lives and left 30 others injured.
