LAHORE, Jul 29 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review matters related to seniority, service structure and promotions of legal inspectors.
Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Security/Legal Owais Ahmad Malik, AIGs Legal, DSPs and inspectors legal attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said legal officers are the backbone of Punjab Police in handling legal and judicial matters. He emphasised that the upgradation of the service structure and welfare of legal officers was among the department’s top priorities.
The meeting also featured consultations and exchange of proposals to establish a uniform promotion mechanism for legal inspectors.
Dr Usman further announced the formation of new posts for SPs and DSPs Legal to enhance the legal structure of Punjab Police.
