ISLAMABAD, Jun 30 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a grand search and combing operation on Monday in Tarnol and Secretariat areas, during which 17 suspicious individuals were shifted to police stations and over 200 houses were inspected under the supervision of zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs).
An official told APP that prior to the operation, personnel were briefed about the strategy and objectives.
He said that a total of 321 individuals and 236 houses were checked, along with 127 motorcycles and 45 vehicles.
He said the aim of the operation was to eliminate criminal elements and maintain peace in the area. Similar operations are being conducted across the federal capital on the directions of the IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi .
He appealed to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies during checking and report any suspicious activities. “The safety of citizens is our top priority,” he added.
