ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Bhara Kahu Police Station team arrested a Category-A proclaimed offender involved in a double murder case, showcasing another successful operation by the force.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Rural Zone and SDPO Bhara Kahu. The police team, led by SHO Chaudhry Akhtar Zaman along with Sub-Inspector Tanveer Ahmed, apprehended the accused Haji Rahim, son of Haji Raza, a resident of Peshawar currently living in Al-Wadi Colony, Bhara Kahu.
The suspect was wanted in FIR No. 779/23, registered on December 5, 2023, under Sections 302, 324, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) at Bhara Kahu Police Station. The accused had been declared a proclaimed offender (Category-A) and was on the run for several months before being captured.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi commended the performance of the police team, praising their professionalism and dedication. They said such actions reflect the department’s commitment to bringing dangerous criminals to justice and ensuring the safety of citizens across the federal capital.
