Hyderabad police arrest two suspects after encounter

HYDERABAD, Dec 18 (APP):Hyderabad police arrested two suspected drug suppliers in injured condition after an alleged encounter late Wednesday night. According to a district police spokesperson on Thursday, Phuleli police exchanged fire with motorcycle-riding suspected drug dealers during routine checking near Firdous hotel on goods naka road.
Police said three men on a motorcycle were signaled to stop, but they opened fire instead. Police retaliated in self-defence, injuring two suspects, who were arrested on the spot. They were identified as Hameer Ali son of Mir Muhammad Halepoto, a resident of Tando Agha and Kawish son of Mushtaque Ali Rind, a resident of Allahdad Chand Goth.
The spokesperson said two illegal 30-bore pistols were recovered from their possession. The injured suspects were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital for treatment.
Their accomplice, identified as Ali Jakhro, managed to escape on a motorcycle under the cover of darkness. Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects at Phuleli police station.
