KARACHI, Aug 19 (APP):Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori contacted Chairman Sukkur District, Kumail Shah, and Deputy Commissioner Dr. M.B. Dharijo via telephone to inquire about the ongoing relief efforts in the rain and flood affected areas of Sukkur.
The Chairman and Deputy Commissioner briefed the Governor on the relief operations and precautionary measures being undertaken across the district.
Governor Tessori commended the timely relief efforts and the proactive steps taken by the district administration.
He informed them that 10,000 ration bags have already been dispatched from Governor House to the affected areas and assured that additional supplies would be sent if needed. The Governor emphasized the importance of collective effort in providing robust assistance to those impacted by the disaster.
Kamran Tessori also praised the responsible officers for their dedication, stating that it is crucial to meet the expectations of the public during such challenging times, as only by fulfilling these expectations can trust be built. The Chairman Sukkur District assured the Governor that emergency measures are being implemented, while the Deputy Commissioner confirmed that victims are being relocated to safe areas with food and other essentials provided.
