SUKKUR, Mar 19 (APP):The Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jilani Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Hospital in Gambat has made comprehensive arrangements to provide uninterrupted medical treatment to patients during the Eid holidays.
According to a GIMS Hospital spokesperson on Thursday, under the directives of Director Dr. Rahim Bux Bhatti, surgeons, doctors, and staff will continue to perform operations and OPDs as usual. Administrative doctors, nurses, paramedics and all other relevant staff have been assigned duties to ensure timely medical care.
The hospital’s transplant specialists and their teams will also remain active during Eid. Patients and their attendants will be provided special meals. The hospital administration has instructed security guards to remain alert and courteous to maintain order in the hospital.
The Works Department staff has been directed to keep generators and other equipment updated, and electricians and other staff will be on duty. GIMS administration warns that any employee found absent from duty will face disciplinary action to ensure uninterrupted medical services during Eid-ul-Fitir.
These measures ensure that GIMS Hospital continues to provide medical facilities to patients from far-flung areas without disruption. Notably, GIMS Hospital has evolved from a small dispensary to a medical city for five human organ transplants under Dr. Rahim Bux Bhatti’s vision and dynamic leadership. With Sindh government support, the hospital performs 100% free transplants, including liver, kidney, bone marrow, pediatric heart surgeries, open heart surgeries and others.
