GCU observes  Black day to express solidarity with people of Kashmir

HYDERABAD, Oct 27 (APP):Government College University (GCU) Hyderabad observed Kashmir Black Day to express unwavering solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
 The event was organized by the Directorate of Students Affairs under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Razzaque Larik.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Amjad Ali Arain addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the day, stating, “27 October is a day of grief and pain adding that we stand in every condition with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
 Pakistan holds a key role in the global political and geo-strategic scenario, and this is the time to advocate strongly for Kashmir.”
He further stated tha Pakistan had effectively responded to India’s aggressive policies, saying, “We have answered India in a befitting manner — a clear message that Pakistan stands firm for justice and peace. India today stands isolated in the world because of its continuous acts of oppression and barbarity in Kashmir.”
Deans Prof. Dr. Abdul Manan Shaikh and Prof. Dr. Makhdoom Muhammad Roshan Siddiqui also attended the event.
Prof. Dr. Shahnawaz Mangi delivered a detailed lecture on the historical and political dimensions of the Kashmir issue, emphasizing the need for international attention and peaceful resolution according to the UN resolutions.
The event was graced by various heads of departments including Prof. Dr. Agha Amad Nabi, Dr. Niaz Soomro, Dr. Sheeba Sajid, faculty members, and a large number of students.
Students presented passionate speeches in Sindhi, Urdu, and English, expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people and condemning Indian atrocities.
The program concluded with a solidarity rally within the university premises. Participants carried banners and posters inscribed with slogans in support of the Kashmiri cause, reaffirming their commitment to stand by their brothers and sisters in their struggle for self-determination.
