RAWALPINDI, Oct 17 (APP): The Ganj Mandi Police arrested a suspect allegedly involved in circulating counterfeit currency and recovered fake notes worth Rs 30,000 from his possession.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesperson on Friday, the arrest was made during a targeted operation following reports of fake currency being circulated in the area. The recovered notes were seized and sent for verification.
Superintendent of Police Rawal Saad Arshad said the suspect would be challaned in court with solid evidence, adding that those involved in counterfeiting and fraud would not escape the grip of law.
