SIALKOT, Jul 15 (APP):District police have busted a dangerous gang involved in dacoity and robbery cases and arrested its three members.
In a press conference at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), SP Investigation Ghulam Abbas said that a few days ago, bandits had looted Haji Imran (Owner of Colaro Sports) and escaped with Rs18,00,000 in cash. On the special instructions of District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Hassan Iqbal, DSP CIA Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan along with a police team traced out the accused. They were identified as Adnan Ahmed alias Dana, Mustaqeem and Amjad Mukhtar, he added.
He said that during interrogations Rs15,00,000, in cash, two motorcycles and two pistols were recovered from the accused. Police have sent the accused behind bars after registering separate cases against them. Further investigations are underway.
The SP Investigation said that the safety of life and property of the business community of Sialkot was their top priority as the business community plays an important role in the economy of Pakistan and earns foreign exchange for the country.
Vice President (VP) Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Amer Majeed Sheikh thanked the Sialkot police on behalf of the business community for recovering the loot. The special team, formed by the DPO, was awarded cash prizes by the Sialkot chamber.
