GUJRAT, Dec 01 (APP): Under the direction of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority, Rizwan Saeed, authorities carried out 209 food safety inspections across the district, issuing improvement notices to 63 establishments and imposing fines totaling Rs227,000 on 17 businesses.
Officials also collected one sample for testing and seized 39.59 kilograms of expired, prohibited, and spoiled food, which was subsequently destroyed.
The authorities emphasized the importance of public health and the strict enforcement of food safety regulations. They urged all food outlets to adhere to hygiene standards to ensure consumer safety.
