GUJRAT, Dec 19 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) carried out 80 inspections across Gujrat to ensure food safety and public health.
According to a PFA spokesperson, 17 shops were issued improvement notices, while five shops were fined a total of Rs86,000 for violations.
During the operations, authorities also seized and destroyed 1.1 kilograms of prohibited food items.
The spokesperson said inspections and strict measures would continue, emphasizing that PFA is committed to protecting consumers and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the district’s food outlets.
