MULTAN, Jun 13 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Multan Zone arrested three individuals allegedly involved in human trafficking and visa fraud, on Friday.
According to an FIA spokesman, the accused identified as Abid Hussain, Abbas Ali, and Altaf Hussain were extorting large sums of money from citizens under the pretext of providing overseas employment.
The suspects were apprehended from Rahim Yar Khan. Both are accused of defrauding individuals of over Rs 1.4 million each by offering fake job opportunities in Oman.
Abbas Ali was arrested from Kamoke, Gujranwala, for allegedly taking Rs 780,000 from a victim for promised employment in Saudi Arabia.
The accused failed to send the victims abroad and went into hiding after collecting the money. All three have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway, the spokesperson added.
