FAISALABAD, Oct 02 (APP):The agriculture department is taking measures on a war footing to control smog in the region.
Agriculture Director Chaudhar Abdul Hameed on Monday advised growers not to set the residue of paddy crops on fire as it created smoke and increased pollution in the atmosphere.
He warned that fines of Rs 15,000 to 30,000 per acre may be imposed on violators.
