FAISALABAD, Mar 29 (APP):Faisalabad received 31 millimeters rain here on Saturday night and Sunday morning
while the Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) placed its field staff on high alert ensuring timely response
and uninterrupted drainage operations across the city.
The WASA spokesman said Monsoon Control Room at WASA Head Office compiled the data
and the highest rainfall of 31 mm was recorded in Gulistan Colony while WASA Head Office area received 30 mm rain and 28 mm rain was recorded at Ghulam Muhammad Abad areas.
Other locations, including Allama Iqbal Colony, Madina Town and Dogar Basti also received moderate rainfall of 22 mm, 23 mm and 25 mm.
Director Operations East Nauman Noor conducted field visits to multiple areas to monitor the situation. He checked staff attendance and ensured that machinery remained fully operational at identified ponding points to prevent water accumulation.
Managing Director Saqib Raza said that all major roads were cleared from rainwater in the morning due to proactive measures taken by teams.
