MULTAN, Jul 26 (APP):Environmental change is a significant challenge for the generations and a tree plantation campaign is crucial to address this issue.
The Director Multan Arts Council, Saleem Qaisar, expressed his views after the performance of the reformative play “Jaagtay Rehna” (Stay Awake), organized by the Multan Arts Council to highlight the importance of tree plantation on Thursday evening.
He said that stated that trees are essential for the survival of life.
He mentioned that planting trees was an ongoing charity and public should focus on planting as many trees as possible to provide a better environment for future generations.
Range Forest Officer Katya, Malik Amjad Nadeem said that the Punjab government was taking various measures to combat environmental change and global warming. The “Green Punjab” initiative is a significant step in this regard, which will help tackle these challenges in the future, he added.
The play organized by the MAC also emphasized the importance of tree plantation. The play was written by Dr. Abid Azad and directed by Qaisar Javed.
The cast included Shahid Iqbal, Lubna Butt, Arshad Bhatti, Ayesha Malik, Jiwa, Waleed Ali, and Hanif Kuwaiti. A large number of spectators came to the Multan Arts Council to watch the play and appreciated the performance and message of the artists.
A good number of families watched the drama with a take-home message of planting saplings by each one of us for the better future of the country.
