RAWALPINDI, Oct 15 (APP):The Ganjmandi Police have successfully solved a major theft case reported a week ago, arresting the shop’s own employee for stealing Rs10 million from his employer, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Wednesday.
According to the spokesman, the police recovered the entire stolen cash along with an iron cash box, a saw blade, and the cut padlock used in the crime.
He said the suspect, who was employed at the shop, had committed the offence after business hours by cutting the lock and taking away the money. During the investigation, the employee was taken into custody and, upon interrogation, confessed to the theft. On his indication, the police recovered the stolen amount and other items.
City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani appreciated the efforts of the Ganjmandi Police team for swiftly resolving the case and arresting the culprit.
“Those who betray trust and commit crimes against citizens’ property will not escape the grip of the law,” the CPO asserted.
