ABBOTTABAD, Dec 28 (APP):Chief Conservator Wildlife Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Mohsin Farooq has said that effective protection of wildlife and biodiversity is not possible without adequate resources and strong administrative support.
He expressed these views during his visit to the Hazara Wildlife Circle, where he reviewed ongoing conservation initiatives and was briefed on measures being taken to protect wildlife within the circle’s jurisdiction.
The Conservator Wildlife informed Dr. Mohsin Farooq about ongoing conservation activities, enforcement measures, and field operations aimed at safeguarding wildlife species and their natural habitats. A detailed briefing was also given on the progress of biodiversity conservation programs being implemented across the circle.
During the meeting, key administrative and resource-related challenges faced by the Hazara Wildlife Circle were highlighted. The Conservator pointed out issues related to manpower shortages, logistical constraints, and the need for enhanced operational resources to improve field effectiveness. He requested the Chief Conservator to use his office to facilitate the provision of the required resources to strengthen administrative capacity and improve overall performance.
Chief Conservator Wildlife Dr. Mohsin Farooq appreciated the efforts of the Hazara Wildlife Circle staff and emphasized the importance of effective coordination, proper resource utilization, and continued focus on biodiversity conservation. He assured that the highlighted issues would be examined and necessary steps would be taken to support the circle in achieving its conservation objectives more effectively.
