Eco-friendly electric buses launched for citizens: Minister

SIALKOT, Apr 03 (APP):Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt
said on Friday that the launch of eco-friendly electric buses for local citizens by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was a significant public facility which would provide modern, comfortable, and environmentally friendly transport.
He emphasized that the construction of bus shelters should be completed at the earliest to ensure the regular commencement of bus service and to facilitate citizens effectively. He expressed these views while addressing a meeting on the construction of bus shelters and municipal services, accompanied by Administrator Municipal Corporation Abbas Zulqarnain and Chief Officer Zubair Wattoo.During the meeting, the Municipal Administrator briefed that construction work on bus shelters was progressing rapidly and all under-construction shelters would be completed within the next 10 days. He added that a total of 18 bus shelters were being established across the city, with 15 already completed within municipal limits, while construction of 3 shelters was ongoing in the cantonment area.
The provincial minister directed the authorities to complete patchwork on major
roads and ensure restoration of streetlights to improve urban infrastructure.
He further said that effective action should be taken against encroachments
to maintain traffic flow and the city should be made clean, organized and beautiful.
After the meeting, the Administrator and Chief Officer visited different areas
of the city and took a detailed review of ongoing development projects
