LAHORE, Jul 04 (APP):Divisional Superintendent Railways Muhammad Inaam Ullah paid a surprise visit to Lahore Railway Station to inspect ongoing development projects and assess the current state of passenger facilities.
Accompanied by all divisional officers, DS Railways conducted a detailed review of construction work underway at the station, particularly focusing on the waiting halls. He thoroughly examined the pace and quality of construction and issued clear directives to the concerned authorities to complete all work within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on standards.
He also carried out a detailed inspection of pay-to-use washrooms across all platforms. During the visit, several shortcomings in cleanliness and facility maintenance were observed. Taking immediate notice, Muhammad Inaam Ullah summoned the contractors and cleaning staff, instructing them to rectify the issues without delay and to ensure that passengers are provided with clean and functional amenities.
In addition to the waiting halls, he inspected the newly constructed Train Dispatch Office, evaluating its current status, construction quality, and adherence to technical requirements. He stressed the need to expedite work while maintaining high standards.
The DS Railways also visited the Green Line Hall and the VIP room at the station, emphasizing the need for enhanced passenger services. He directed station staff to make sure all facilities are operational and up to the mark for the comfort of travelers.
