LAHORE, Dec 08 (APP): Lahore experienced dry and cold weather on Monday, and similar conditions will continue on Tuesday.
MET officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. They forecast mainly cold and dry weather across most regions, with very cold conditions in hilly areas during morning and night hours. Partly cloudy weather is expected in the upper parts during the evening and night.
Smog, along with patchy fog during night and morning hours, is likely to persist over the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Officials also predicted dry weather throughout the ongoing month, adding that two weak weather systems may enter the upper regions of the country in mid-December. However, these systems are not expected to have any significant impact on Punjab. Light rain and snowfall are possible in upper areas, but the plains will remain dry.
According to the Meteorological Department, cold intensity will gradually increase in the coming days, with nighttime temperatures expected to drop further. Due to the persistent dry weather, fog is also likely to intensify, potentially affecting traffic and air travel.
