GUJRAT, Dec 25 (APP): District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq visited various churches and Christian worship places on the occasion of Christmas to review security arrangements.
According to a police spokesperson, the Christian community was celebrating Christmas in an atmosphere of religious freedom and peace. Strict security measures were implemented across the district to maintain law and order during the festivities.
During the visits, the DPO inspected internal and external security arrangements at churches, reviewed the deployment of police personnel at entry and exit points, and examined the checking and surveillance system. He directed officers and personnel to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on suspicious activities.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Rana Umar Farooq said that the protection of life and property of the Christian community is a top priority, adding that the police was fully mobilized to ensure peace and security during Christmas celebrations.
