PESHAWAR, Dec 17 (APP):A delegation of Markazi Anjuman-i-Tajiran, Dera Ismail Khan, led by its President Sohail Ahmed Khan, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor’s House, where key civic, economic, and infrastructural issues of the district were discussed.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted problems related to public utilities, rising cost of living, load-shedding, and delays in major development initiatives, along with broader concerns regarding infrastructure and service delivery in Dera Ismail Khan.
Governor Kundi assured the delegation that the issues raised have been taken up with the concerned authorities and are being actively pursued through appropriate forums. He reiterated his commitment to maintaining a strong focus on the development needs of Dera Ismail Khan.
The Governor informed the delegation that progress is being pursued on the Dera Ismail Khan Airport, describing it as a vital project for improving regional connectivity and boosting economic activity.
He also emphasized the importance of the SIUT hospital project in Dera Ismail Khan, initiated under the leadership of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, as a significant step towards strengthening healthcare facilities. Additionally, he shared that approval has been granted for the establishment of a Danish School in the district to promote quality education for deserving students.
Governor Kundi said that while several development and infrastructure matters fall under the jurisdiction of the provincial government, he continues to raise public concerns at all relevant forums to facilitate progress.
The delegation expressed appreciation for the Governor’s accessibility and his continued efforts for the welfare and development of Dera Ismail Khan.
