Dera Ismail Khan , Nov 23 (APP):On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, the anti-encroachment campaign continued in full swing across Tehsil Dera.
Led by Assistant Commissioner Dera, Syed Muhammad Arsalan, the administration carried out an operation along South Circular Road, from Taj Masjid to Faqeeri Gate, where permanent and temporary encroachments on both sides of the road were removed to ensure smooth traffic flow.
The Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Tehsildar Dera, revenue staff, TMA and WSSC personnel and police teams were present during the operation.
As part of the drive, one shop was demolished at Kirri Alizai Gate to reopen the entry point and improve traffic movement. Likewise, a shop constructed on state-owned land at the entrance leading towards Mochiyan Wala Wanda was completely cleared.
The district administration has warned traders and shopkeepers against re-establishing encroachments in cleared areas, stating that strict legal action including registration of FIRs will be taken in case of violations.
The anti-encroachment campaign will continue in the coming days.
