DC seeks viable plan for Mass Transit System in district

KOHAT, Jan 17 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram on Friday directed the authorities concerned to prepare a comprehensive and viable plan for starting the Mass Transit System at the Divisional Headquarter Kohat and submit it at the earliest so as to make progress in this regard.
He gave these directions while presiding over a meeting held in his office on the proposed Mass Transit System in the Divisional Headquarter Kohat.
The meeting beside others, was also attended by the ADC (G), Officers of the district administration and departments concerned and institutions.
The meeting discussed in detail the various aspects of this important project and certain decisions were made in this respect.
Deputy Commissioner Kohat directed the quarters concerned to immediately submit a comprehensive and workable plan of the routes and other arrangements of the proposed Mass Transit Service.
He said, keeping in view the rapidly growing population, this project is of great importance and it will have a positive and far-reaching impacts on the development and prosperity of the region.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Kohat also held an important meeting on the problems of the hospitals, in which Rs.16 Million have been approved for the supply of medicines and other facilities, out of which Rs.11 million for DHQ
Hospital Kohat and Rs.5 million for Liaqat Memorial Women & Children Hospital have been allocated.
DC Kohat also issued directions to set-up Free Medical Camps under the supervision of skin specialist doctors in the Lachi and Dara Adamkhel Tehsils of the district to effectively deal with Leishmaniasis disease and to ensure timely
relief to the people.
